DIETITIAN, SPECIALIST

Location: Morrison Healthcare at MUSC Ashley River Tower, Charleston, SC – Acute Care setting

About the role

Seeking a Specialist Dietitian to provide inpatient nutrition care for Medical-Surgical ICU. The role requires obtaining CNSC certification within one year. You will be trained on TPN and Cortrak tube team.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply the latest evidence-based research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
• Contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.

Requirements

• Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or CDR exam eligible.
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
• Specialty certification required when specified; CNSC certification must be obtained within one year.
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred.
