About the Role
Act as a nutritional consultant and resource to members of the health care team. Provides comprehensive nutritional care including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, implementation of a care plan, counseling, education, and evaluation of outcomes to patients, families, and associates. Coordinates various education programs and seminars on nutritional topics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) required if:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential was obtained prior to January 1, 2024, and
- Credential is active and issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Master's Degree required with Bachelor's in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) if:
- Initial registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is effective on or after January 1, 2024.
- Advanced Practice Certification preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; use and understand medical terminology.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; perform arithmetic calculations.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Relatively high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with medical, nursing, and other health care professionals, patients, and their families.
