Registered Dietitian I Full Time Days
About the role
Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, takes measurements, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status. Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors. Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services. May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies. Provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
- General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet software
- Ability to search the web for nutrition research or practice updates and apply knowledge to updating reference materials, preparing for presentations, education, etc.
Education
Bachelor's degree required.
Licenses and certifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) required
Pay
$26.89 - $50.01
