Dietitian Nutritionist

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sunrise Hospital is the largest acute care facility and comprehensive children's hospital in Nevada (900-bed Trauma Center).

Responsibilities

• Clinically focus on providing nutritional care to a variety of inpatients, including the ICU.
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays.
• Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses.
• Maintain good time management skills, be a self-starter, and work well as a team player and independently.

Requirements

• Be a Registered Dietitian and licensed or eligible to obtain in NV.
• At least 1 year of prior acute care experience, including ICU (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills, a self-starter, and work well as a team player and independently.
• The ability to work well and develop strong relations with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND.
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND.
• Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by CDR and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
