Dietitian (Facility Program Coordinator)-MOVE Coordinator
About the role
Dieticians in this assignment serve as a Facility Program Coordinator (MOVE! Coordinator) leading a multidisciplinary team. They are administratively responsible for the MOVE! specialty program and provide program-specific leadership, guidance and direction, technical advice, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee development and maintenance of training and reference materials.
- Provide direct patient care by developing and implementing cohesive nutrition therapy, practicing within their scope/clinical privileges.
- Serve as the profession and technical advisor for their program.
- Manage all aspects of the program for the facility, assuring local compliance with national policy and direction.
- Direct or participate in the design of studies, collect data, conduct statistical analysis, and translate results into written and oral communications.
- Promote and maintain effective working relationships with all faculty and significant parties at the national, state, and local level.
- Maintain program information through approved social media outlets.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) - Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- One year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11.
- Knowledge of program administration, establishing program goals and objectives, coordinating activities, evaluating accomplishments and solving problems.
- Developing quality improvement or research activities.
- Developing training and reference materials.
- Developing policies and procedures.
- Providing program-specific coordination to include leadership, technical advice and staff development.
