Dietary Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Development of and participation in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes.
• Participation in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes.
• Coordinating food services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Environmental, Activity and Social Services, etc.).
• Written and oral reports/recommendations to the Dietitian and/or Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Food Services Department.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services.

Requirements

• 6 months in a dietary position
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Be able to interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Communicate effectively.
• 1-3 months related experience or training.
• Requires knowledge of special diets.
