About the role
The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with experience in food service, preferably within a nursing home or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food production, quality, portion control, and meal service.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served according to schedule and established standards.
- Oversee tray-line operations and ensure accurate, timely meal delivery.
- Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and state and federal regulations.
- Monitor staff workflow and provide training and direction to dietary employees.
- Assist with menu adjustments, dietary practices, and kitchen procedures.
- Ensure proper food preparation, handling, storage, and temperature control.
- Complete daily shift logs, sanitation checklists, temperature logs, and required documentation.
- Promote an efficient, clean, and positive kitchen environment.
- Perform other supervisory and kitchen leadership duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of food service or supervisory experience.
- Nursing home or healthcare food service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Food Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of food sanitation, large-scale food preparation, portion control, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and families.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Schedule
Full Time | 5:00 AM–1:00 PM and 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
Pay
$25.50 per hour
