Dietary Supervisor

Cook Carefree Living is looking for a full-time Dietary Supervisor/Kitchen Manager/CFPM to join our growing and established Assisted Living community in Cook, MN.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing groceries and supplies
• Ensuring the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks
• Supervising the cooks and dietary aides in order to provide nutritional meals and snacks in a pleasant environment
• Meting the dining needs and desires of the residents
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Serve Safe Manager Certificate required.
• CFPM Certificate required.
• Must have a passion for working with seniors and providing excellent care and customer service.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
• A minimum of two years' previous experience as a cook in an institutional setting; nursing home or assisted living facility preferred, with some supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
• Understand and exhibit infection control procedures, including proper hand-washing techniques.
• Know and adhere to OSHA safety regulations and ensure all persons in kitchen/dining room follow correct procedures.
• Knowledge of food service operations and of safety precautions in serving food to others in a clean, healthy environment.
• Selected candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and will be subject to a DHS and criminal background study.
