Dietary Cook

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Dietary Cooks to join our team.

About the role

As a Dietary Cook, you will prepare and serve meals according to the menu, monitor methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. You will safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents to maintain and enhance their overall health. You will ensure the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu
• Monitor food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning methods
• Provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents
• Ensure quality food service and nutrition care in compliance with regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior dietary experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• One year of experience as a cook in a large-scale cooking operation highly preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Passion for working with seniors
• Flexible, fun, and energetic personality
