Dietary Cook
About the role
Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a fire and passion for working with seniors, a flexible and fun personality, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior dietary experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, or memory care setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to the menu
- Maintain and enhance residents' overall health through nutritionally appropriate food provision
- Monitor food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning
- Safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding food service and nutrition care
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior dietary experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- One year of experience as a cook in a large-scale cooking operation
Qualifications
- Able to maintain a professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
