Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
  • Follow therapeutic and modified diet orders as directed.
  • Ensure food is prepared, held, and served safely following sanitation and infection control standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
  • Complete required temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and other documentation.
  • Follow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long-term care, or food service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is required.
  • The ability to read and follow recipes and diet instructions is required.
