Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
- Follow therapeutic and modified diet orders as directed.
- Ensure food is prepared, held, and served safely following sanitation and infection control standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
- Complete required temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and other documentation.
- Follow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long-term care, or food service is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is required.
- The ability to read and follow recipes and diet instructions is required.
