Responsibilities
- Affirms that all items needed to prepare foods on the menu are available to dietary staff.
- Affirms that appropriate inventories of food, supplies and equipment are available.
- Maintains and keeps accurate accounting for all budgets assigned, and informs Administrator prior to spending monies in excess of the budget.
- Responsible for staffing the dietary department.
- Follows the facility policies when hiring, orienting, and disciplining employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related field.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Dietitian (LD).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
