Dietary Cook

CareCore at Mentor is seeking a dependable and motivated Full‑Time Cook to join our Dietary team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing quality meals and working in a team‑focused healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and kitchen cleanup as needed.
• Follow special diets, portion guidelines, and dietary instructions.
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and facility team.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Healthcare, long‑term care, or senior living experience is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
