About the role

Join Richwood Nursing & Rehab as a Full Time Dietary Aide in Oldham County, near LaGrange, Kentucky. As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in dietary department functions including meal tray preparation, dishwashing, and other tasks as directed by the Cook and/or Dietary Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adhere to food service routines.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly, and clean manner.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Maintain floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret instructions.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
