About the role

A compassionate Dietary Aide responsible for assisting in meal preparation and service in an assisted living setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing meals based on dietary plans and resident preferences.
  • Serve meals courteously and efficiently, ensuring proper portion control and adherence to dietary requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and equipment sanitization.
  • Support stocking and inventory of food supplies.
  • Communicate dietary concerns or resident condition changes to the dietary manager.
  • Follow safety and food handling regulations and participate in training and staff meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in food service, ideally in healthcare or assisted living environments.
  • Knowledge of food prep, sanitation, and dietary guidelines.
  • Effective team communication and compassionate, patient attitude towards elderly residents.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
