About the role

The role of Dietary Aide at Apple Rehab Mystic involves assisting with meal preparation, cleaning dining areas, managing supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe environment according to health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of meals and snacks
• Clean up of dining areas
• Absorbs and rotates supplies and food
• Interacts with residents daily, helping with cleaning tasks
• Cleans work areas, washes dishes, pans, and utensils
• Ensures compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation functions
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of food storage and work areas
• Reports violations of safety or sanitation rules to supervisor
• Handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop, and stretch
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to write and record data, read and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in cases of emergency
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and family members
