About the role

Waste Pro is hiring dynamic Class A Technicians to join a team serving thousands of customers daily. The position involves working on a variety of trucks, including those powered by diesel, CNG, LPG, and hybrid systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs and maintenance on all equipment to ensure safe and productive operations.
  • Review and complete repairs identified on DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) and/or repair orders.
  • Communicate with managers and drivers about vehicle issues and discuss preventive measures.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
  • Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis, and Repair.
  • Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis, and Repair.
  • Knowledge of Electrical System Inspections, Diagnosis, and Repair.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspections, Diagnosis, and Repair.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and able to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.
  • Ability to complete work within suggested repair times (SRTs) and estimate time and material required for repairs.
  • Ability to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
  • CDL Class B license (preferred within 12 months).

Pay

A comprehensive pay range based on proven skills and capability is offered.
