Diesel Technician - Heavy Duty - Carson, CA

Responsibilities

• Diagnose truck problems and perform repairs.
• Create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts.
• Tag all warranty parts that are replaced and turn in parts with core value.
• Communicate updates to Foreman daily.
• Maintain organized toolboxes and clean, safe workstations.

Skills Assessment

• A-Level Technician: Proficient on all vehicle component repairs, diagnose all vehicle component failures, competent in root cause failure analysis, vibration analysis, aftertreatment repairs, and aftertreatment diagnostics.
• B-Level Technician: Advanced diagnostics skills, complete engine repairs within SRT time, complex chassis repairs within SRT time, knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs, HVAC qualifications.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Compensation

• Hourly $39-$50/hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
• Plus Incentive Bonus Plan.

High school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, positive attitude, dedication to excellence, motivation, and teamwork are required. Candidates must also pass a post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check.
