Pay
- Hourly pay: $32.39 per hour
- Certification bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Weekends off
- First shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification (preferred)
- Post-secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools (required)
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
- Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Basic diagnostics and repairs (AC and electrical systems)
- Three or more years of relevant work experience (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment
- Knowledge of and ability to apply computer skills (PC, Windows, mouse, etc.)
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Must pass:
- Ryder drug test
- DOT physical
- Ryder road test
- Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
Responsibilities
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including:
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Works in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (e.g., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Acts as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Demonstrates ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Performs other support duties as required, including:
- Service Island support
- SBTIII training within 180 days (SBT220)
- Completion of 2 OEM online diagnostic scan tool software courses (predominant OEM of fleet mix completed within 365 days)
