Diesel Technician Apprentice

About the role

Diesel Apprentices at Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You will assist customers with roadside services, learn preventative maintenance, and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of diesel mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Work in various temperatures
• Always prioritize the safety and satisfaction of your customers, adhering to company safety policies and procedures
• Rotate shifts between day and night as needed
• Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined
• No prior professional experience required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
