Diesel Shop Foreman/Technician

Responsibilities

• Dispatch technician(s) to mechanical segments that match their skill level to ensure quality.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks.
• Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
• Assist mechanics in developing their skills with the support of the Service Manager.
• Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary.
• Check the repair progress of each repair order throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing / maintaining class 7- 8 trucks - with solid technical practices.
• Accurate Diagnostic and Troubleshooting skills required.
• Possess a complete set of tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to document repairs accurately and clearly.
• Adaptable and anxious to meet the needs of our customers in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
