Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic
About the role
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to join our team. This role performs heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, receives on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status. Duties include:
- Engine overhaul
- Fuel systems
- Electrical systems
- Transmissions
- Cooling systems
- Chassis
- Brakes
- Engine tune-up
- General maintenance
Responsibilities
Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties. Gains experience by working on the following items with minimal supervision: engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
Requirements
CDL preferred. Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses. A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required. Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
