Diesel Service Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment.
• Repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of heavy equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy equipment.
• Clean and service machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.
• Consult and collaborate with other mechanics.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment to management.

Job Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Must have strong working knowledge of computer testing technologies.
• Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Able to lift heavy machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Able to work after-hours if required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with several levels of the organization.
• Clean, valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass pre-employment testing, including drug screen.
