Miller is hiring a Diesel Refrigeration/Reefer Technician for its Miller Truck Leasing division in Newburgh, NY. With over 100 years of experience, 8,000+ trucks on the road, and more than 40 diesel maintenance shops across KY, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, and NH, Miller offers a family‑oriented environment that is large enough to serve but small enough to care.
Responsibilities
- Perform general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 refrigeration vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair refrigeration equipment following proper warranty procedures
- ThermoKing experience highly preferable
Requirements
- 3 or more years experience working on refrigerated units and/or a valid 608 certification
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1‑7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a Commercial Driver License with trainer assistance
- Possession of hand tools
- ThermoKing experience highly preferable

Pay
Competitive compensation: $40‑$50 per hour (minimum 5 years verifiable reefer experience)
Schedule
Flexible schedule: Monday‑Friday 1st shift or 4‑10 hour shifts; flexible for the right person.
