Diesel Reefer Technician
About the role
Miller Transportation Group is a rapidly growing leader in the transportation industry, founded in 1912 and currently operating over 40 Diesel Maintenance shops in Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The company is seeking a Diesel Refrigeration/Reefer Technician for its Miller Truck Leasing division based in Newburgh, NY.
Responsibilities
- Perform general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 refrigeration vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair refrigeration equipment following proper warranty procedures
- ThermoKing experience highly preferable
Requirements
- 3 or more years experience working on Refrigerated Units or hold a valid 608 certification
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to obtain one with the help of our trainer
- Hand tools
Flexible On-Schedule
- Monday - Friday on 1st Shift
- 4 - "10" Hour Shifts, etc.
- Flexible for the right person
Pay
Competitive compensation: $40-$50 per hour with a minimum 5 years verifiable reefer experience
