Diesel Mechanic - Wasilla

Shoreside Petroleum is looking for a Diesel Technician to repair and maintain our Anchorage Linehaul Fleet efficiently and productively. The role involves routine maintenance and repairs while adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, and braking.
• Use and operate tools and equipment required for the repair and maintenance of large vehicles.
• Follow industrial and shop safety rules; read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, professionalism, and tact.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and equipment appearance to project confidence to customers and coworkers.
• Communicate clearly with management and perform a variety of shop duties as assigned.
• Be available for overtime as needed to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Work directly with petroleum products and respond to call-outs or emergencies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of four years of experience with diesel mechanics.
• General knowledge of the petroleum industry procedures.
• Experience working with customers, management, and personnel.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of personal computers, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL with Hazmat Endorsement preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Regular attendance is required.
