Mechanic - Diesel

About the role

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our trucking division in Burney, California.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks, pickup trucks, log trailers, and semi-trailers
• Effectively overhaul engines and perform diagnostic tests and routine preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of the above-mentioned vehicles
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and steering mechanisms
• Perform routine care such as oil changes, fluid level checks, belt and hose inspections, and tire rotations
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of serviced vehicles and adhere to safety, environmental, and other regulations
• Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work may consist of overtime, weekend, and holiday work during busy production times

Qualifications

• 1 year of diesel mechanic experience or educational equivalent
• Extensive working knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines
• Commercial driver’s license Class A is helpful
• Knowledge of Cummins Insite and Davie diagnostic tools a plus
• Preference given to applicants with fabrication and metal work experience
