Diesel Mechanic/Technician

About the role

I-505 Truck Repairs is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Our fleet consists of late model Peterbilt trucks with Cummins engines and Eaton Fuller transmissions, Bendix and Wabco disc brakes. All applicants must bring their own tools. The shop provides all specialty tools, including Insite, Davie, Wabco toolbox, and more.

Responsibilities

• Perform diesel servicing and CA DOT BIT inspections.
• Electrical diagnostics, braking systems, air systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, rear-ends/drive trains, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Computer literacy required.
• Welding skills are a plus.

Requirements

• Lifting up to 100lbs.
• Standing, walking for extended periods.
• Crawling under equipment and on back.
• Working outside and steam cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical diagnostics, braking systems, air systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, rear-ends/drive trains, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Self-motivated and able to accept and follow directions.

Skills

• Computer literacy.
• Welding (plus).
