About the Role
We are seeking a skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and repair fleet diesel equipment, ensuring compliance with all trucking regulations.
- Document work orders accurately and maintain thorough records of all repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
- Perform road call services as needed.
- Conduct minor repairs, inspections, and diagnose issues using computerized diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ensure vehicles are properly licensed, registered, and roadworthy.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and critical components like brakes, steering, and wheel bearings.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate professionally with team members to ensure timely and accurate communication.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire and wheel work, brake systems, electrical diagnostics, and A/C refrigeration.
