Diesel Mechanic - North Post/Meikle

Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures (including electrical and hydraulic systems)
• Perform hose repairs
• Keep electronic work order records via CMMS
• Perform major component repairs and replacements when necessary

Requirements

• Current MSHA Certificate (5000-23) in underground metal/non-metal mining
• Experience maintaining Sandvik drilling and haulage equipment, Epiroc drilling and haulage equipment, Caterpillar surface and underground equipment
• Proficient in interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Certified to use service, parts, and operator’s manuals - both digital and paper
• Knowledge and understanding of all underground (hard rock) mining equipment applications
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in year-round weather conditions
• Experienced with diagnostic software
• Competent with fluid power diagnostics
• Experienced with OEM and retrofit emissions products such as passive DPFs, active DPFs, and SCR systems
• Ability to weld and use a cutting torch
