Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on rental construction equipment
  • Travel to job sites for on-site maintenance, service and repairs
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through positive, solution-focused interactions
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Use diagnostic software, gauges, and specialized tools to identify equipment issues
  • Test-run equipment to verify repairs and ensure operational safety
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time
  • Support shop and customer workflow and assist other technicians as needed

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic, rental, construction or fleet mechanic
  • A high school diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent experience
  • Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely
  • A personal set of professional-grade mechanic’s tools
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment
