Diesel Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics responsible for maintaining and repairing late-model motorcoaches, buses, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance, inspections, oil changes, and tune-ups
• Diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical, exhaust, and safety systems
• Using computer diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues
• Replacing components such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, and transmissions
• Conducting test drives to ensure vehicle safety and performance
• Completing repairs based on driver reports and maintenance schedules
• Assisting with parts procurement and shop/facility maintenance

Requirements

• At least 3 years of related experience and/or training
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read service manuals and operate diagnostic equipment
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of employment
• Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and work around mechanical equipment

Pay & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $26 to $55/hour based on experience
• Weekly pay, with potential earnings up to $2,396
