About the role
We are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics responsible for maintaining and repairing late-model motorcoaches, buses, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventive maintenance, inspections, oil changes, and tune-ups
- Diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical, exhaust, and safety systems
- Using computer diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues
- Replacing components such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, and transmissions
- Conducting test drives to ensure vehicle safety and performance
- Completing repairs based on driver reports and maintenance schedules
- Assisting with parts procurement and shop/facility maintenance
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience and/or training
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read service manuals and operate diagnostic equipment
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of employment
- Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and work around mechanical equipment
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $26 to $55/hour based on experience
- Weekly pay, with potential earnings up to $2,396
