Safe Industries is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work on-site at our Nashville Service shop and off-site in the Nashville area. Work environment includes indoor service shop located in Nashville, TN and outdoors off-site for customer repairs. Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services
• Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
• Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
• Complete required paperwork utilizing with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards

Schedule

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in large vehicle servicing and repairs
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. 10% of the day
• Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to receive and maintain a Certified Medical Examiner's Health Card (DOT)
• Diesel mechanic experience

Preferred Skills

• Have or can obtain a Commercial Driver's License
• Experience with Department of Transportation compliance activities
• Diesel mechanic experience
