About the role
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with diesel engines. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and vehicles, including trucks and construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as fuel systems, brakes, and transmissions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from a diesel mechanic program is preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
