Diesel Mechanic
About the role
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Kennesaw, GA Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet equipment
- Execute minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts
- Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Ability to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and electrical systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must own your own tools
- Preferred 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
