Diesel Mechanic
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at their Omaha, NE Service Center. The position involves daily maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, major repairs, trailer and overhead door maintenance, and welding.
Responsibilities
- Maintain preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Handle major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers
- Perform trailer and overhead door maintenance
- Welding as needed based on location
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Able to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and electrical systems
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Own tools required
- Preferred 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
- Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders
- Class A CDL license
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
Qualifications
- Must be able to handle major repairs
- Must have own tools
- Preferred 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
- Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders
- Class A CDL license
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs

Earn up to $36.50 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts
