Diesel Mechanic
Hourly range is $21.54 - $33.13. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, various shifts.
About the role
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at our Norwalk, OH Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Responsibilities may also include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on location.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Handle major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers
- Maintain AC and electrical systems
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required
- Use own tools for maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Ability to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and electrical systems
- Must have own tools
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
