Job Requirements
- Maintain a strong safety record and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service work.
- Repair or replace defective components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and fuel systems.
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Complete work orders accurately and document repairs in maintenance systems.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective action.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair situations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Skill Requirements
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy trucks, trailers, and related systems required.
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems preferred.
- Able to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members.
- Must supply personal mechanic tools (specialty tools provided by company as applicable).
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
