Diesel Mechanic
About the role
The Diesel Mechanic at Milestone Contractors maintains a fleet of heavy duty trucks providing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. Essential functions include maintaining the fleet, diagnosing and repairing heavy duty trucks and equipment, communicating effectively to ensure efficient repairs, inspecting equipment, reporting mechanical issues, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintain fleet of trucks
- Diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and equipment
- Able to communicate effectively to ensure efficient repairs are made
- Evaluate truck performance
- Inspect equipment
- Report mechanical issues and problems to shop manager
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Requirements
- High School or Equivalent required
- 1+ years of diesel mechanic experience
- Diagnostic experience helpful
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license or CDL required
- ASE certifications preferred
