Diesel Mechanic

Primary Objective

We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex engine and hydraulic issues
• Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently, following company standards and safety protocols
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding the status of repairs and maintenance tasks
• Assist with other duties as needed, including occasional driving of company vehicles

Key Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program preferred
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and hydraulic systems
• Hydraulic experience is a plus
• Possession of a valid CDL is a plus
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify engine and hydraulic issues
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be willing to travel between our two office locations (Rocky Hill, CT/Haverhill, MA)
