About the role
This position involves routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various types of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups on company vehicles, ambulances, heavy equipment, trailers, and other motor vehicles.
- Accurately diagnoses and repairs or replaces parts and systems necessary for the proper functioning of vehicles or equipment, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Performs necessary testing and diagnostic assessments on parts, systems, and vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensures maintenance and repair schedules and production plans support the urgency of operational needs and resource deployment plans.
- Deploys to unit/vehicle locations when necessary and feasible to mitigate unit downtime.
- Accurately maintains vehicle repair and maintenance records.
- Conducts self in an ethical, professional manner; projects a positive self/company/system image.
- Adheres to and enforces all safety standards and organizational policies.
- Adheres to and enforces all vehicle use and emergency vehicle operation standards and policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/Technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required.
- ASE certifications.
- Two years of related experience with Ford and Chevy diesel engine diagnosis and repair preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen, safety-sensitive position.
- Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
