About the role
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered construction equipment and vehicles, including excavators, dozers, graders, dump trucks, and service trucks. This role is critical to ensuring our operations stay safe, efficient, and reliable in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment and diesel vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts usage.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
- Respond to on-site service calls as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and operators to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in construction equipment repair.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
- CDL or ability to obtain one preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
