Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing all diesel-powered vehicles and equipment in the fleet. This includes diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems in diesel engines and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on vehicles and equipment
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Document work performed and report findings to supervisors
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics or related field
• Knowledge of diesel engine operation and repair
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Pay

$18 - $22 per hour based on experience

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
