About the role
Full‑time hands‑on apprenticeship with C & B Operations, a network of 38 John Deere dealerships across six states. The program combines shop work, classroom instruction, and tool support to turn participants into certified John Deere experts.
How It Works
Work in the shop full‑time under experienced technicians. Each month you travel to Mitchell, South Dakota for a one‑week, in‑class instruction and hands‑on learning session (travel, food, lodging, and class are fully paid). After the week you return to the shop to apply what you learned. The program runs for 2 years if you have prior mechanic experience, or 3 years if you are new to the trade.
You can choose a tool package of either $3,000 or $7,500; after three years of service the tools become yours. You earn a salary while working toward your John Deere Apprenticeship Certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on John Deere agricultural equipment.
- Work with diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and precision‑ag technology.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and software.
- Complete digital service documentation.
- Follow professional shop procedures and safety practices.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians who provide mentorship and training.
