Diesel Mechanic A

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role

Requirements

• Frequent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of weights in excess of 50 pounds
• Occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling weights in excess of 100 pounds
• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED with 3 plus years of related experience)
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations

Qualifications

• Technical School Certification preferred

• Knowledge of diesel mechanics and electrical systems
• Proficiency in diagnostic technology/software

Pay

• $31-$36.00/HR based on experience/qualifications
• Incentive Pay-$1.00 additionally with active license CDL A or B-Not required for role

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Midday-Monday-Friday 12:00PM-8:30PM
