About the role
The Diesel Fleet Diagnostics Specialist is responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues with diesel-powered vehicles within the transportation fleet.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel-powered vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on fleet vehicles
- Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient vehicle maintenance
- Document all work performed and communicate findings to relevant parties
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology preferred
Skills
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
