About the role
The Die Setter coordinates with the Molding Room to ensure efficient installation and removal of molds from Injection Molding Machines. This position involves setting up and adjusting machines for production, performing lockout procedures, purging material, and removing dies from machines.
Responsibilities
- Position and align molds, connect water, hydraulics, air feeds, and other necessary components
- Perform lockout procedures and purging material before removing dies from machines
- Clean platens with mold cleaner to remove rust and install correct length knock out rods
- Set up auxiliary equipment such as mold controllers and temperature controllers
- Operate machine shop equipment including milling, lathes, and grinders
- Communicate with supervisors when changes are complete
- Ensure machines are cleaned after each change
- Bring molds to designated areas for cleaning and inspection
- Maintain tool change and production logs
- Disinfect working area daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable setting own work priorities
- Close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Written and verbal English communication skills
- Able to work independently and with teams
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing PPE
- Ability to safely operate forklifts for mold installations and removals
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years prior experience as a Die Setter
- Preferred: Power Industrial Truck License (1D) for forklift

Monday through Friday – 8 hour shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
