Die & Machine Operator

About the role

One of our manufacturing clients is seeking a skilled Die & Machine Operator to operate production machinery and dies used in the manufacturing process in New Milford, IL.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines and dies according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Perform die changes, adjustments, and basic machine setups as needed.
• Monitor machines during production to ensure proper operation and consistent output.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Make minor machine and die adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Identify machine, tooling, and die issues and communicate problems to the maintenance or tooling team.
• Load and position raw materials and components into machines safely and accurately.
• Follow production schedules, work orders, blueprints, and process specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of experience operating industrial production machinery, preferably in a metalworking, stamping, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with dies, presses, or similar production tooling.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Experience with stamping presses, progressive dies, or forming equipment.
• Knowledge of die setup, adjustment, and maintenance.
• Experience with CNC or automated production equipment.

Pay

Pay Rate: $27/hr – $28/hr
