Die Cutter Operator

Responsibilities
- Lock up tooling used in the Die Cutting Operation.
- Assist on cutter make-readies/runs and relieve cutter operators for breaks and/or vacations.
- Assist with jogging board, operating baler, working TRA, and other assigned duties.
- Maintain WIP and tooling based on the production schedule.
- Maintain cleanliness of the department.
- Assist TRA as needed and on make-readies/startups.
- Advance to a cutter operator position when qualified and one becomes available.
- Keep the department in specs within all 5S and SQF guidelines.
- Immediately report any food safety concerns to management.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand work schedules.
- Training will be provided on line clearance, scanner set-up, and documentation.
- Full understanding of the Cutting Assistant Grade 1 role.
- Basic PC and mechanical skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good communication and mathematical skills, including a strong understanding of measurements.
- Ability to work with little supervision and in a team environment.
- Must comply with all plant and corporate policies.
