Die Cutter

First-shift, full-time, on-site position in Brooklyn Park, MN (55427).

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, monitor, and run die cutting presses and oversee the stripping of die cut parts.
• Rubber and set up dies; prepare die presses and make ready for cutting.
• Set up stripping unit on die press and obtain first-off approval for cutting.
• Detect die cutting defects and inform manager or production planner of possible problems.
• Make die alterations as needed.
• Operate fork truck and other equipment to move stock and supplies.
• Follow all safety and workplace rules and policies; assist others with production operations as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs.
• Flexibility to move between jobs, classifications, and buildings as directed by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Beginner-level experience.
• Technical die cutting knowledge.
• Ability to set up both clam shell and semi-auto die presses.
• Ability to make-ready dies for the press.
• Willingness and ability to follow verbal and written directions and stay focused on the job.
• Ability to operate fork trucks and other equipment needed to arrange stocks and supplies.
• Ability to direct team members to increase productivity.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace values, diversity, and an inclusive working environment.
• Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations.

Pay

$21.00 - $23.00 / hour.
